Can i bridge a 2 chanel mono amplifier?
i bought a precision power dcx500.1 its a VERY strong amp. but i tried bridging it and could not get it to hit any harder. i dont know much bout amps but i do know the last 2 amps i had i fried trying to connect subs. the speaker shop who did all the instalation told me i connected the ohm loadage wrong and fried them. so he gave me this good amp. can someone explain how to understand the ohms and how to wire them up when i get new speakers?
ok, i got 2 10 inch q power 1000watts dual voice coil and how should i have them connected for best sound? their in a pro box. amp is a 1 ohm stable.
i would wire them at 4 ohm. most subs i have had and wired to 2 ohm sounded like shit when you turned them up. so just run at 4 ohmand you can wire those together in a bridged mode
