Cracks on sub cone?
If there is a small crack on the cone of a subwoofer would it still be useable? It looks like it was fixed but I want to know if this makes a difference in the performance of the sub or not before I take it from a friend. Its been sitting around his place for a while now.
its a Rockford Fosgate and I think its 400w
I had a cracked and sealed it with a black rtv silicone. The silicone is best becuase it is flexable so when it bumps it wont tear or give away. I have had my sub for 2 1/2 years now and it still works with no leaks. I would at least test it out first to make sure it doesn't leak if it doesn't then you are good to go.
