Installing amp and subs in 1999 camaro?
I have a 250 watt Sony xplod amp the amp runs off 12v I was wondering if it was possable to run the amp out of the cig lighter with the cord I have and to run the speaker input off the back speakers that are already in no extra hole in firewall and don't want to drill into it want to make this an easy set up and if I don't want it some day easy to take off with out any scar on the car please help me asap hoping I can get this done today
My cig lighter has a 25 amp fuse
I have a 1995 Firebird that I installed an amp and sub in (similar enough to your camaro), and its not extremely difficult to run the wire. Pop the hood, top left of your engine bay there is the PCM, remove it by taking out 2 little screws. Leave the PCM wires attached and slide it out of the way. Look down under where the PCM used to be and you will see a gromet where the wires from the engine wiring harness go through to the inside of the car. Figure out a way to shove your power wire in there. Viola.
Remember, all of this is on the passenger side of the car.
