Does a 1200W 12" Sony Xplod sub sound good?
I have the Sony Xplod deck that I like a lot but I'm not sure if the sub will sound bad. Most of the time cheaper subs don't sound as good.
Your Sony stereo is giving you poor sound reproduction quality, anything with Sony's name attached to it for car stereo equipment is garbage due to poor sound reproduction. The subs will barely be able to be heard due to the stereo sending extremely poor signal. A friend of mine had a Sony Xplod deck with a pair of JL W3V3's, the subs were barely able to be heard. He sold the subs thinking the subs were bad, he did not listen to me. The guy that bought them immediately hooked them up in his car, and they sounded really good. My friend needless to say has listened to me since about car audio and avoids sony car audio like the plague. So to summarize this, the subs are going to sound like muddy water at best, get rid of everything in your car that has the name Sony attached to it.
