SUBWOOFER speaker QUESTION?
I have a 1200 max 4 OHM car amp. I want to get a 10'' subwoofer speaker for it, but most of what I see are two 600 watt = 1200. If I bought the two 600 watt subs, would it blow? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

I need more specs . what brand of amp and speakers? what are the rms watts of them? when you look for subs and amps you wanna match the rms and ohms of the two. for instance lets say you amp is a two channel that makes 450 rms watts @ 4 ohms each, look for a sub or a pair that make around the same rms at the same ohms
*** pay mor attention to rms watts than max watts , thats what actually count. after looking at the specs of the amp I see that at 4 ohm the rms is 200watts and at 2 ohms it makes 250rms watts, so if you are going to buy one 10" woofer, I suggest you buy one that makes rms 200 watts @ 4ohms
or rms 250watts @ 2ohms , using this general rule of thumb you shouldnt have a problem
